“I’ll never get tired of driving a truck…”
As a female, there is one thing more attractive than anything else and that’s a man in a truck. But I can’t let the men have all the fun. To be honest, I do drive an old Chevy Silverado 1500 with rusted fenders. A cowboy hat sits on the dash and my graduation tassel hangs from the rearview mirror. I’m a farmgirl at heart and the best thing about driving that “slick pick ‘em up” truck is taking a dirt road corner a little too fast and fish tailing it out. Plowing through a foot of freshly fallen snow on the drive. Hearing those dual mufflers roar to life every time I turn the key is like hearing the rumble of thunder right before a rain storm. I’ll never get tired of driving a truck and I know once you’ve test driven one, you’ll feel the same.
As the owner of a Chevy Silverado 1500, there are more perks than flaws to the Silverado 1500. It may not have the opulent luxury of other fancier models, but the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has MAX towing and payload capacity that leaves the competition struggling. The 1500 boasts 10,700 pounds and 1,937 pounds of payload for the crew cab while the extended cab can support 1,903 pounds. A standard 4.8L V8 engine has 302 horsepower while the available Vortec® 5.3L V8 is a menace of 315 horsepower and 335 pounds-feet of torque. The 6.2L V8 package generates 408 horsepower and 417 pounds-feet of torque. That equates to a truck which can do the job better than the rest and look good doing it.

if you’re looking for a well-rounded truck, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is the road you should take. It’s more than capable when it comes to holding its own among the competition. The Silverado 2500HD is there to get the job done. A MAX towing of 17,800 pounds and max payload of 4,212 pounds, Chevrolet’s goal was to turn impossible into possible, and they did pretty good job creating the ultimate truck. The Vortec® 6.0L V8 engine can operate on E85, a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. The Duramax® 6.6L and the Allison transmission boasts a 36 gallon tank and can offer up to 680 highway miles on a single tank running diesel. If you need the muscle of a Heavy Duty truck but not quite the brawn of a dedicated work truck the 2500HD is the perfect balance.

“It’s a dual threat of power and stamina…”
I passed a Silverado 3500HD on the road yesterday and my normally impressive Silverado looked tiny next to the massive “Hulk” of the Chevrolet world. If Chevy was looking to turn heads, they succeeded. This is a for follows function truck that hasn’t been compromised in either area. The 3500HD Silverado a dual threat of power and stamina offering a whopping MAX towing of 23,000 pounds and a payload of 7,125 pounds. The Duramax® 6.6L Turbo Diesel engine sets up a class leading heroic one-two punch with the Allison transmission giving it the best combination of heavy hitters in the industry.
